The Problem
Tru PVC needed more than a storefront. Their catalogue is spec-driven — customers search by diameter and technical attributes, not by product name. The challenge was building a WooCommerce product structure that matched how customers actually think, while keeping imports, updates, and new product lines manageable long-term without manual data entry.
What I Built
- Catalogue architecture with clear categories and sub-categories, and consistent product naming rules applied across the full range
- Variable products built around Diameter as the primary WooCommerce attribute, with Pressure and Volume included where available
- WooCommerce variations created so dropdowns work correctly out of the box with no broken option states on the frontend
- Clean SKU logic so the backend stays maintainable and product reporting stays accurate as the catalogue grows
- Repeatable CSV import workflow with attribute columns configured correctly for WooCommerce variable product imports
- Data cleaning rules to keep measurements, units, and attribute values consistent across the entire product catalogue
- SEO foundations built in from the start: URL structure, internal linking readiness, and product copy structured for search intent
